This enchanting new show, comprised of photographs by Yasumasa Morimura, features self-portraits of the artist dressed the part for each role in Diego Velazquez’s Las Meninas, 1656. The painting, and the scene itself, was photographed at the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. However, by rearranging the positions of the subjects in the piece, Morimura creates an altered narrative.
